The Austrian team were the talk of the paddock because of their unique designs regarding the sidepods and rear suspension. F1 Managing Director Ross Brawn and Technical Head Pat Symonds paid a visit to the Red Bull garage to check on the rear suspension.

How did Ross Brawn react to the Red Bull RB18?

As reported by Motorsport-Turkey, the Adrian Newey design of the RB18 impressed the F1 bosses, as they were happy with what they saw. The Italian newspaper Gazzetta claimed the rear suspension was revolutionary and stated, “Adrian Newey Did Not Disappoint.”

“The car looks more solid than ever and the way it interprets the new F1 rules leaves many mouths open. That’s why the FIA ​​and Formula 1, as well as rival team engineers, are keeping a close eye on the RB18. Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds came to the Red Bull garage to see if the car was legit,” said the newspaper.

“They specifically studied the revolutionary rear suspension. It can help them better control the ripple without sacrificing ground effect. There may be some questions about the durability of the RB18 because they lost half a day with the gearbox problem. Maybe it’s the result of Red Bull pushing the limits too much,” revealed the newspaper.

The RB18 has certainly caught everyone’s attention in the motorsports world. It also looked fast in the hands of world champion Max Verstappen at the pre-season test in Barcelona.

Hopefully, the new innovations would be fast at the official pre-season testing in Bahrain as well. The Bahrain test will give the team and the fans an idea of the pecking order of the grid. Red Bull will hope that they can build on their 2021 season and take the constructor’s title as well this season.
