Qualifying is everything in the streets of the Principality of Monaco. Acing the fine margins, the kisses to barriers are what make up the Saturday session. And while the Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc aimed at pulling an Ayrton Senna by grabbing onto his third consecutive pole, he could only manage a P3 in an intense battle to the pole. During the press conference after the qualifying session, Leclerc was asked if he was wishing for rain tomorrow and planning to go rain dancing. To which he replied, “No, I am not that desperate [..] If it‘s a dry race and we can stay on the podium, it‘s already a good weekend.” But fans have already begun pouring in their sympathies for the poor lad.
