“Wait wait and let me phone, Christian Horner”. Christian Horner recently trolled one of his former drivers by talking about how often he crashed. The same driver expressed how he felt betrayed when the team booted him out. This driver is a victim who fell for Red Bull’s internal politics and has now come out firing shots toward Milton Keynes HQ and has challenged his former Boss to settle the scores once and for all.

Red Bull possibly had their worst seasons during the first couple of years of the Turbo Hybrid Era. After Sebastian Vettel’s move, Daniil Kvyat was chosen as the driver to replace him. The Russian and Daniel Ricciardo helped the team develop a race-winning car for 2016. However, Kvyat was demoted to Toro Rosso just after 4 races as his constant crashing was given the reason. Kvyat crashing Vettel at the 2016 Russian GP was the flashpoint as Max Verstappen made his way to Red Bull.

Daniil Kvyat has expressed his displeasure multiple times. How he felt betrayed after helping the team and getting the boot. During the track limits podcast, Kvyat was shown a picture of him and Christian Horner arm wrestling. He suggested that they were doing it just for the photo. Nevertheless, cheekily expressing his displeasure again, he suggested that he think he would win now. The two can go for light sparring or boxing if the Red Bull TP wants to.

According to the Track Limits podcast, the host showed the photo to Daniil and said, “I’m about to show you a photo. This is a photo of you and Christian Horner wrestling. Arm wrestling. Challenging Christian Horner, Daniil Kvyat said, “We’ll we just did it for the picture. Yeah….But now I think I would win. We can go for light sparring with him and boxing if he wants to.” Further adding, “Wait wait and let me phone. Christian Horner: Daniil I heard you’ve been talking sh*t about me.”

Hinting towards the harshness shown by Red Bull to him, he made fun of Christian Horner, suggesting he will call after the podcast to scold Daniil for talking bad about him. It is believed that Horner went and apologized to Sebastian Vettel for the Kvyat crash in Russia. However, the German driver did not hold back, having already left a nickname with the Russian for life.

After successfully sticking the nickname “Torpedo” with Kvyat for the rest of his life, the Russian has now taken his revenge. Vettel called Daniil a torpedo after he went on inside of him on Lap 1, causing Vettel to avoid him and crash into his teammate. Nevertheless, on the latest episode of the Track Limits podcast, while discussing the incident, Kvyat got back at him by calling him a “Professional Screamer.”

According to the Track Limits, Podcast the host said, “Seb nicknamed you the torpedo. When he said that what did you think of that, what did you think of the nickname when it started to spread around the paddock?” Kvyat replied, “It didn’t mean much. We just had a discussion in the podium room and that’s how it went.” When asked to give Vettel a nickname, he replied, “I don’t know, a professional screamer or something.”
