Amidst the clouds of sadness, Lawrence Stroll came as a ray of hope for Fernando Alonso. The Canadian businessman first saved Alonso’s hopes of a third world championship and is now helping the Spaniard passion project. The two-time world champion’s business incurred a loss of $3,200,000 back in 2021 which led to a major part of the company being sold. However, there are hopes for the brand as it announces a partnership with a Formula 1 team.

F1 cars are essentially a huge billboard for sponsors to put their logos on. The F1 teams get the sponsorship money and the sponsor gets an advertisement from the billboard which is the F1 car. The bigger the sponsorship deal is, the bigger would be the logo on the car. McLaren has recently gone on a sponsorship signing spree and has signed what looks like a never-ending list of sponsors. However, Aston Martin seems to have taken a page out of McLaren’s book and has signed a deal with Fernando Alonso‘s clothing brand Kimoa.

Kimoa is Fernando Alonso’s clothing brand which was started back in 2017. However, after attaining losses upwards of 3 million dollars, 75% of the command was sold to the US-based group Revolution Brands for 3 million dollars. This puts the company’s valuation at somewhere around 4 million dollars. The Spaniard tries to take his brand to whatever team he moves to in an attempt to give the brand more visibility.

The Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll is worth 3.6 billion dollars and a brand like Kimoa will not make a huge difference to the team’s revenue. There was also uncertainty around the fact that Alonso will be taking the brand to the Silverstone-based team. However, Aston Martin recently announced its partnership with Kimoa recently. The brand is now looking forward to enhancing its clothing line in collaboration with Aston Martin. The initial designs are out and can be seen on Aston Martin’s website

The brand has come up with products like caps, jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and polos, all of them in the team’s colors with Fernando Alonso’s signature on all of the apparel. Aston Martin is getting a lot of TV coverage and media attention this year and this will surely help the brand.

The partnership comes as good news at a time when the Spaniard recently announced a split from his girlfriend Andrea Schlager.
