Sebastian Vettel’s retirement and Fernando Alonso‘s joining Aston Martin were two of the biggest buzzes of the last season. Alonso’s decision was questioned, and everyone laughed. But seeing the opening race in Bahrain and the subsequent rounds, it seems like the Spaniard had the last laugh. The bet and faith placed in him by Aston Martin’s boss, Lawrence Stroll, worked out and worked miracles for the brand in general away from F1 as he continues to make huge sums of money.

The success of Aston Martin, led by Fernando Alonso’s four podiums in the first five races, has first translated into increased sales. $3.6 billion worth Lawrence Stroll recently revealed that the company has sold about 300–400 of its Vantage F1 edition car, which is estimated to have brought in a revenue of about $80 million for the supercar company. But now, the company is launching a new car based on its success in Formula 1.

Aston Martin is now bringing in its DBX 707 AMR23 Edition, priced at $275,000, as per Caranddriver! It has a custom paint job designed by Aston’s Q division that closely resembles the outside of the 697-hp DBX F1 medical car and is inspired by the AMR23 F1 race car.

As per Marca, the car comes in Podium Green, with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine under the hood that generates 697 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque. It has a 0-62 mph time of just  3.3 seconds as the power is distributed to all four wheels using a nine-speed automated transmission. Moreover, its top speed of 193 mph.

The company also offers a Highlights package for an additional $7,200 and is making the car on customer orders. Certainly, the biggest and richest fans of the team and of the driver will want to get their hands on this special edition to mark a great year of results.

Lawrence Stroll gifted a precious car to Fernando Alonso

Nobody saw the coming together of these two bold personalities. Moreover, the respect and admiration that the two have shared in the public sphere are unfathomable. Issues were expected to rise between the two, yet everything is all too well (Taylor Swift pun). 

Fernando Alonso, before the season began, was gifted the very same SUV by Aston Martin. The driver received an Aston Martin DBX 707. Tweeting about this gesture by the team, he said, “Expectations were exceeded. Dream car 😍.” And now, the same car has been modified to launch a special edition to mark Alonso’s success.
