The Formula 1 journey of Mick Schumacher might have come to an abstract end as Haas decided to replace him for the next season. The American team is set to replace Schumacher with Nico Hulkenberg for 2023. As Guenther Steiner and Haas decided on the young German’s future, Toto Wolff believes they were a bit harsh.

Wolff, who recently claimed that the Schumacher family belongs to Mercedes, in light of the rumors of Mick joining them as their Reserve driver, took the cheeky dig at his fellow team boss during the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Steiner, the F1 veteran who comes from Merano, the Alpine town region in Italy, had an active role to play in Schumacher’s dismissal. The Haas team principal took the decision along with the team after two years of racing with Michael Schumacher’s son.
In his two years stint with the American team, Mick Schumacher claimed 12 points in 44 race entries he had in 2021 and 2022. Earlier this season, his last year’s teammate Nikita Mazepin was ousted from the team. Haas will start the 2023 F1 season with Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg in their line-up.
