Perez sent a positive message to Racing Point on Twitter, clearing the air around the situation between himself and the team.

I have known this team for seven years and they are like family. I have spoken to the team and they accept my explanation. (there’s no way that after 7 years we can finish in bad terms, the air is totally cleared.)

“And we all want the same thing: to score as many points and be successful in our remaining races together,” read his message.

During the press conference at Sochi, Perez jokingly mentioned that he “hates” Sebastian. But the very next moment, he clarified that he does not hold any hatred against Vettel.

No, of course, I have nothing against Seb. He’s a great guy and driver who goes on board with a fantastic team. I wish I could have continued with this team because it looks good, especially for next year, “said the Mexican.

But I’ve been in this business for a long time and I understand the background. I don’t hold a grudge against anyone and I don’t take anything personally,” said Perez.

Sergio Perez is yet to find a seat for the next season. But looking at his recent form in F1, it would be a shame if he ends up without a drive.
