We even witnessed all drivers catching up for a Sebastian Vettel farewell dinner. This is just one of many instances of wholesome moments between the drivers. The good-hearted Australian is the comedian of the gird. His contagious smile and constant banter with the drivers on the grid is what makes him such a likable personality. One constant in Ricciardo’s arsenal of inside jokes with the drivers on the grid is announcing Pierre Gasly.
We have seen on multiple occasions and during interviews Ricciardo shouting “Piiiierreee Gassssly” whenever he spots the Frenchman. This is a common theme between the two for quite some time now.

However, probably for the first time, we have witnessed the outgoing AlphaTauri man return the favor. Gasly, while walking on the Yas Marina Circuit, spotted the McLaren man. As soon as he spotted Ricciardo, Gasly announced, “Danieeeel Ricciardooo”. The Australian isn’t one to back out and instantly announced his name with a chuckle. Gasly ended the interaction with “love you” and a heart gesture with his hands.
