Following the race at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Red Bull driver, Alexander Albon, claimed that he was hit by one of the McLarens that led to him spinning off the track during the latter part of the race.
During the post-race interview, Albon kept insisting that he was hit from behind until the point where the interviewer had to intervene and correct him.
“No. No. Someone hit me,” Albon claimed. But once the interviewer revealed that he came across the footage, Albon also looked at other possible reasons for his spin. “If it wasn’t, it was cold tires and lack of downforce.”

“I thought a Mclaren showed its nose. But maybe I’m wrong.”
Albon may have had an average race until the moment when his teammate retired from the race and the safety car was called in. Bur from there on, it only got worse for Albon.
The spin would have been a deja vu for Albon by spinning off and finishing last in the race. Except, in this case, there was no Lewis Hamilton to spin him off as Albon did it to himself.
Red Bull opted against giving Alexander Albon softs that left him vulnerable during the safety car restart
Red Bull decided against pitting Albon while Sergio Perez, Daniil Kvyat, and both the McLarens pitted for soft tires.
When the lights went green on lap 58, Albon was in a clear disadvantage over the drivers behind as he lost two places within a few turns of that lap.

Eventually, the fear of losing more places crept into Albon, forcing him to push his car while his tires were still cold. Unsurprisingly, he ended up spinning, leaving him partially out of the track.
The Red Bull driver had no choice but to wait for the other cars to pass him before getting his car back on the track as he saw the chequered flag in P15.
Looking at the bigger picture, the time is running out for Albon to prove his worth in Red Bull. And with just four more race weekends left for Albon, the pressure seems to be piling up on the young Thai-British racer.

Meanwhile, his possible replacement, Perez, looks to be in top-notch form as he almost got himself onto the podium in Imola. His performance will only make things easier for Red Bull to choose the Mexican over their current driver.
But who knows? The reality could turn out differently from what was expected as well. But for the actual answer, the fans will need to wait for a week or two on knowing who is going to take over the other seat in Red Bull.
