The stage is set in Miami. This weekend will prove to be highly significant in the history of both Formula 1 and the city of Miami. As the excitement boiled down, the fans witnessed an enticing race with the theme once again being Max Verstappen v Charles Leclerc. The Dutchman once again came out on top after shrugging Leclerc’s challenge towards the end of the race.

Meanwhile, Alex Albon’s performance has gone under the radar. The Thai driver finished P10 once again, getting valuable points for Williams. He also finished P10 in Australia and 11th in Imola followed by points finish once again in Miami. Of course, his racing craft and skill came into play, but some believe his decision to dye his hair red might have brought some luck.

Alex Albon’s red hair brings luck to him at Miami GP

Ahead of the Miami GP, Albon spoke about his visit to the saloon. He dyed his hair red, ahead of the race in Albert Park where his tire management skill was on show as he finished P10. He revealed it has brought him some luck and hoped to continue his fine form.

During the pre-race press conference he said, “Yeah, it looks red on the on the camera there. Yeah, we got it dyed before Melbourne and we finished 10th and then as the dye faded away, we finished 11th In Imola. So it started to affect the performance! So, we re-dyed it, hoping for more points!”

In Miami, he was struggling until Lando Norris’ crash with Pierre Gasly set the Grand Prix alight in lap 41. To further add to his fortune, a crash between Vettel and Mick Schumacher propelled him to P10. It does seem like the luck is on his side after he colored his hair.
