Suited booted and ready to make the world a better place, Valtteri Bottas made an interesting announcement using social media today. Ever since leaving Mercedes, the Finn has hardly been making the headlines. However, his flair for aesthetics became front-page news back in May 2022. The Finn’s social media antics generated so much attention he decided to capitalize on it. Now, almost a year and a half later, he has more to show.

Bottas doesn’t shy away from baring it all in front of the camera and he has done on a few occasions. The Finn with his friend Paul Ripke announced his Botta** 2024 Calendar to raise money for an important cause.

Ripke began the introduction and said, “Do you remember last year’s picture of this guy naked in the river in Aspen?” Bottas continued, “There’s great news. There’s now 13 of that.”

The famous photo which has now become a charity did not start off with the thought. It was just a random photo Bottas’s cyclist girlfriend took which the Finn thought was aesthetically pleasing and worthy of an Instagram post. However, the reaction to the photo and his friend’s suggestion made it into what it is now, a charity!

In an interview, he said, “It was actually, the idea was, I don’t know quite often we just take photos like of different situations, but actually it was Tiffany, my girlfriend who took the photo. Um, yeah me and Paul, we were having a swim, my friend, Paul Ripke.

“But then at the evening, I was just scrolling through the photos and I was like that is actually quite, artistic photo in a way. Then I just decided to post it, no text, nothing, just posted because I loved it. It was quite funny and so on. But then I saw the reaction the next morning, like wow, it was like record number of views and likes and everything. So, then Paul Ripke came up with the idea that we should do like a limited, 24-hour edition of the prints and do it for charity and that’s we did. And it was pretty popular,” he revealed.
