Renault rebrands as Alpine for the 2021 season. The team has already undergone a few changes and the fans were patiently waiting for the livery reveal. Earlier, they released a clip and images of the temporary winter livery and their pilots cannot hold back the excitement.
The line-up for the French constructors is Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon and both of them seem very excited about the car in 2021. It comes dressed in its black body donning the national colors of France round would look marvelous around the corners. Well, Alonso and Ocon are bubbling with excitement.
Earlier, Esteban Ocon retweeted the post of Alpine’s car release. His caption is enough evidence of his excitement.” Welcome @AlpineF1Team can’t wait to take the A521 on track for the first time,” read the tweet. He embarks on a new journey with the team and hopefully, he will excel from his place.
However, that was not all. Alpine went ahead with their release trailer, captioned ‘Alpine Cars, born in the Alps, raised by racing‘.
The clip will send chills down your spine, quite literally.
Fernando Alonso reposted that video and his emojis were enough to tell just how impatient he is to drive one of them.
Alpine can easily build on the progress made by Renault and Ricciardo. The Aussie’s presence in the team for two years has helped them by leaps and bounds. Not only did they bag three podiums, but they also finished P5 on the standings. Even though he has left the team for McLaren, the knowledge he shared with them during his stay will prove to be quite useful.
As they’re changing their look as a team, they also want to change their image; the team does not want to be in the midfield battle anymore, they want to contest for the title. They seem confident of overtaking their rivals, Aston Martin and McLaren, and taking the fight to Red Bull and Mercedes.
Zak Brown had earlier stated that the battle in the midfield would be interesting in 2021. According to him, three teams would be racing within the gap of two-tenths of a second, and thus, it would be interesting to see who crosses the line first.
With Alonso and Ocon coming out strong, Aston Martin and McLaren may have a tough time holding them back. Nonetheless, it’ll be a must-watch fight for the fans and the weekends would be impossible to miss.
