AlphaTauri, toward the end of the 2023 season, has come out of the garage a completely changed team. The AT04 is enjoying itself on the track since the Mexican GP and with what we’ve seen in Brazil, the car is doing exceptionally well in the 2023 Brazilian GP. However, after raising his own bar in Mexico, Daniel Ricciardo was not happy with his performance in the Sprint race despite him serving some “poetic justice” to his McLaren replacement.

Ever since the McLaren upgrades, Oscar Piastri has been showcasing his talents behind an F1 single-seater. However, the rookie lost the battle against the guy, driving an AlphaTauri, who he replaced at McLaren. Peter Windsor enjoyed this outcome as he rooted for the veteran Australian.

During the race after being not able to make the move stick on Carlos Sainz twice, a frustrated Ricciardo dropped F-bombs on the radio and promptly apologized for them. Later he added, “We lost a few laps behind Oscar, got him back, and then caught Carlos again. With a lap to go, we were right on his a***.”

“I’ve calmed down a little bit. As experienced as I am, I’m still making little mistakes here and there and still learning,” he concluded during the post-sprint interview showcasing the self-doubt.
