We often spot Angela and Hamilton hanging out outside the F1 grid. Recently, we spotted the two partying in Miami at a club. Though Cullen is primarily Hamilton’s physiotherapist, over the years, their bond has arguably grown. The two friends share the same tattoos, remain inseparable during race weekends and speak highly of each other.

Recently, Cullen celebrated her 7th season with Mercedes and Lewis. She wrote, “My 7th season with this amazing team & each day I am still humbled to stand among this team & an amazing driver & more importantly human being… so blessed to be part of this journey & Team LH love you guys, your support & energy here & everywhere is crazy.” 

Understandably, this was an important recognition from Cullen. The New Zealander has arguably played a massive role in Hamilton’s successful career. She has been a part of almost all Mercedes constructors’ wins and the majority of Lewis’s drivers’ trophies. Working as Lewis’s PA, performance coach, and mostly confidante, Angela has arguably had a huge impact on the Briton’s life.

Angela has been a supportive friend throughout

One of the most notable moments of Lewis and her friendship was the 2021 season end. Understandably, Cullen constantly stood by Hamilton’s side after his defeat. We saw her consoling a somber Lewis. Previously, the Britisher has elaborated what Angela’s work ethic is like.

He said, “People for sure won’t understand it, naturally, because they see it from a distance, but she has been one of the greatest things that’s happened to me in my life. I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of people… and she’s the single hardest-working woman that I get to be around.”

In a harsh environment like Formula 1, friendships and bonds are arguably tough to forge. However, the Cullen-Hamilton bond is one for the books.
