Sebastian Vettel said goodbye to the top level of motorsport last year. Since then, eager spectators have been anticipating the four-time champion’s debut behind the wheel. When Sebastian Vettel was discovered competing in the Race of Champions in Sweden, their fantasy came true. Moreover, the German driver’s acquisition of a second F1 driver, Mick Schumacher, who is also one of his favorites, increased the excitement.

Mick Schumacher and Vettel both competed for Germany in the competition. Vettel’s journey in the competition, however, was cut short in the semifinals when he lost to his teammate Mick Schumacher, who went on to face Mattias Ekstrom in the finale. Vettel conducted an exclusive interview with F1 Insider, where he discussed his interactions and experiences with the 23-year-old during the competition.

It was anticipated that the two would engage in a fierce struggle, given their competition. And sure enough, it did. In the opening heat, Schumacher got off to a quick start while the senior German made some mistakes and went in the wrong direction. Vettel wasted time trying to find the perfect path, which permitted Schumacher to win easily. Nevertheless, the elder German appeared to be doing well in the second round, but Schumacher eventually managed to defeat his godfather and advance to the championship race.

Talking exclusively on the F1 insider, Vettel said, ” Of course we both tried our best, but I was happy that Mick made it through. Conversely, he would have been annoyed, but just as happy if I had progressed. It was nice for him of course, he was in good spirits and in good spirits all weekend. At the end he had a bit of a cold, but you didn’t see much of it on the track (laughs).”

Sebastian Vettel’s career has been an uphill battle. In the early years of his career, he experienced a lot of success; however, the later years of his career saw some disappointments. Despite this, the driver tried to put up a show inside an Aston Martin, but it wasn’t a successful one. And in the most recent interview, he discussed the crucial lesson he learned about life while being on the other side of winning.

The German driver saw success in 2008 during his first full season with Torro Ross, where he took home his first race victory. His biggest career phase, however, began in 2010 with Red Bull, where he won four driver’s championships. The latter stages of his career, though, weren’t particularly successful. Nevertheless, Vettel joined the Silverstone-based team with the hopes of turning things around. However, the four-time champion didn’t even receive any honors there.

In a recent interview with the Beyond the Grid podcast, Vettel revealed what losing at Aston Martin taught him in life. He said, “You could argue [that] the last two years in a way taught me a lot [due to] not being able to win races because the car wasn’t good enough. That’s the nature of our sport, which, if you’re at the front, you sort of ignore because it just doesn’t touch you.
