Formula 1 has gained unmeasurable popularity in the last few years. There have been many incidents to attest to that fact. Recently, World No.1 tennis star Carlos Alcaraz also gave us fresh proof of this fact. Shortly after winning a match in the Miami Open, the young Spaniard penned down an open message. The confusing news sparked a debate across the globe which was only deciphered by Alcaraz himself. Upon revelation, the message proves Alcaraz’s support for an F1 legend.

The young sensation, already drawing comparisons with the GOATs of Tennis, wrote a message on one of the cameras after his match win. The message read, “33? Soon” which did not make sense to anyone. However, it all made sense when the young tennis star posted the video on his story and tagged Fernando Alonso.

Alonso shared the story and put his response on his Instagram story in Spanish. When translated, he wrote, “Lock that man up. He’s a phenomenon!!” To give context, the young tennis star was hyping Alonso up for the 33rd win of his career.

Speaking with Next-Gen-Auto, Alonso said, “A 100th podium? A 33rd victory? No, I’m going for a world championship. We have huge changes coming to the car. So far everything that has been announced to me by the technical team has materialized. If these developments bring the hoped-for gains, it will be normal to aim high.”
