Most F1 drivers have some hobbies away from the track that they enjoy engaging in. For Lando Norris, it is definitely swinging golf clubs. Lewis Hamilton has found himself developing a keen interest as well. For Max Verstappen, it has to be FIFA, given how he was once among the top 100 players in the world. As far as Charles Leclerc is concerned, all we knew, until now, was his love for streaming sim racing. However, the Monegasque recently caught all his fans, including us, by surprise as he took a day off to enjoy watching some tennis matches at his prestigious local tournament.

The 2023 Rolex Monte Carlo Masters marks the return of Novak Djokovic after he skipped the Indian Wells Masters and the Miami Open. The tournament will, however, miss its most successful player Rafael Nadal who sustained an injury during the season starter Australian Open. Another big name ready to miss out is former World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz, who is nursing an injury since bowing out in the Miami Open semi-finals against Jannik Sinner.

The clay courts are among the most difficult to play on and therefore make for the most entertaining matches. Imagine having a tournament in your locality where the best of the best lock horns on that surface. Irresistible, right? Well, Ferrari’s golden boy is no exception. Such is his enthusiasm for the sport that the Monegasque went to watch the qualifiers on the day the tournament kicked off.

The Rolex Monte Carlo Masters‘ official Twitter handle posted a picture of Charles, expressing their pleasure at hosting him. That was enough for his fans and the fans of both sports to go gaga over him. Charmed by Charles’ suaveness, some even demanded that WTA started a tournament in Monaco. Take a look at some reactions to the post.

We are currently underway with the qualifiers. Do you think Djokovic will take away the winner’s trophy in the dominant fashion he did at the Australian Open this year, or will Daniil Medvedev continue the brilliant run to give the Serb a run for his money?
