It was the 2017 Hungarian Grand Prix when Magnussen was given a five-second penalty for forcing Nico Hulkenberg off the track. The pair were battling for the P10 position, and the Danish driver was trying to defend his position.

After the race, the German went to confront Magnussen and said, “once again the most unsporting driver.” The sarcasm did not sit well with the Danish driver, who replied, “S**k my Ba**s, mate.”

Hulkenberg posted a hilarious story remembering the infamous moment from four years ago.

Magnussen still haunted by his comments on Nico Hulkenberg

Kevin Magnussen completed his F1 run with Haas last year. Earlier last season, he looked back at his career in Formula 1 and recalled the infamous incident. He claimed that he is still haunted by the comments he made four years ago.

“This thing with Hulkenberg haunts me to this day. It has become almost annoying to talk about it. There are other things that I will remember. This one thing got a lot of attention,” he shared.

Magnussen then pointed out numerous other memories that stand out for him during his career. Admittedly, the comment was at the heat of the moment and not something that Magnussen is very proud of.

However, much to his frustration, that memory has stuck with people till date and has become quite popular in the F1 meme circuit.

It is great to see that it’s been four years and both the drivers are at a place where they can lightly joke about that incident. However, it seems unlikely that the clip of Magnussen blowing Hulkenberg off is going to go away anytime soon.

Do you remember the incident? What did you think about it?
