What was supposed to be a phenomenal season for Scuderia Ferrari has turned out to be a disaster. The Italian team has gone down from being the championship leader to fighting for P2 in the WCC with Mercedes. Amid all this, rumors arose that their team principal Mattia Binotto might be sacked soon. And then Ferrari responded.
After a long time, the team from Maranello managed to build a car that was worthy of a championship. However, they failed to live up to their expectations as Red Bull trumped over them and picked up both drivers as well as constructors’ championships. The management at Ferrari is unhappy about the whole scenario and there are possibilities that the Italian might have to leave his position.

In light of all this, Ferrari recently put out a statement that said, “In relation to speculation in certain media regarding Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto’s position, Ferrari states that these rumors are totally without foundation.”
Reliability issues and numerous wrong calls on strategies were the main issues that hindered the Reds from Italy from competing against Red Bull. As the season finale is approaching, Mercedes is right on their heels for the P2 spot in the championship.

Binotto out of Ferrari is stupid. Binotto out of Team Principal role and back into technical development is perfect, he built good cars in 2017-2019 https://t.co/c7xmJI4gQ9

According to Formula Passion, Simone Resta is likely to return to Ferrari as their technical director. As the final race comes up in Abu Dhabi, Ferrari will need to keep the P2 spot. Otherwise, Binotto might have to say goodbye to his team, it is believed.
