Lewis Hamilton is undoubtedly one of the best race drivers in F1 history. Even though he has not been able to shine this season, it can’t hide his glorious career till now. Even those who don’t know much about F1 have heard about Lewis Hamilton. The Brit has become the synonym for Formula One.

The seven-time world champion is having a tough time this season. Since the 2022 pre-season, he’s struggling with the Mercedes W13. Although the 37-year-old managed to bag a third-place podium last week at Bahrain, the Saudi Arabian GP was devastating for him. For the first time since 2009, he was knocked out Q1 due to lack of pace. The Briton finished the race at P10 after starting at P15.

However, his 2022 performance doesn’t change the fact that Hamilton is one of the best drivers in history. Moreover, his influence is not limited to F1. He actively raises his voice against racism and tries to help people from diverse backgrounds. So, he is also a well-known activist and philanthropist. Even the Dutch soccer legend Edgar Davids supports the Briton. He thinks Lewis Hamilton is bigger than any other race driver.

Davids shared his thoughts on Hamilton, “I saw him from being a young kid, becoming an adult, having a voice. The thing is with Lewis is that, and for me, he’s bigger than a race driver, if you see his influence outside to taking responsibility, that’s massive.”

When asked who he thinks will win the 2022 Title, the dutchman said, “Max is flying” but he immediately added, “but don’t count Lewis out!”
