Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are the Hollywood power couple no one knew they needed, but now can’t imagine a world without them together. And the Formula 1 community is going to get a taste of what they bring to the table. With the banter they have with each other on social media, they might give the Mercedes and Haas admins a run for their money. But how exactly have they come into the F1 picture?

On Monday, Alpine F1’s parent company, Renault, announced that an investor group is buying a 24% stake in the team, investing a whopping $218 million. And who does this investor group consist of? Apart from Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners, you guessed it: Ryan Reynolds (and Rob McElhenney). But this isn’t the only sports team they’ve invested in. The pair took over the Welsh soccer club, Wrexham, in 2021 and turned its fortunes around. With Alpine 5th in the championship right now, Reynolds and McElhenney will try to work their magic in F1 too. But Alpine’s anticipated turnaround isn’t what fans are most looking forward to.

Blake Lively is a fashion icon. If you’ve come across her only through pictures from the shoot of the movie adaptation of It Ends With Us, be rest assured that’s not her natural style. Her style is closer to her most famous character, Serena van der Woodsen—one of the main characters from the Upper East Side-based series Gossip Girl. And with Ryan Reynolds set to make frequent appearances in the Paddock as Alpine F1 part-owner, fans hope that Blake Lively will be right alongside him, showing up in all her elegant and classy fashion.

When Reynolds took over Wrexham, Lively subscribed to ESPN+ just to see her husband freak out on TV. As much as fans would like to see her purchase F1TV to watch Reynolds get tensed in the Alpine garage, they would much rather see her in the paddock. Her fans couldn’t contain their excitement just thinking about the prospect.

It’s time for Blake Lively aka Serena van der Woodesen to walk the F1 paddock

As soon as the news about the investment by Reynolds and McElhenney broke, the anticipation to see Blake Lively in all her fashionable glory at races became palpable. Considering her classy fashion sense and how she manages to look elegant no matter what she wears, a few fans wrote how they think she will absolutely rock the paddock.

Many fans wrote how they couldn’t wait to see all the looks she’ll show up in and how they’ll cry tears of happiness when they see her.

One of Blake’s most iconic looks was at the 2022 Met Gala. The theme for the 2022 edition was “Gilded Glamour.” She took inspiration from New York and did a complete dress transformation while walking up the Red Carpet, which left everyone—including Ryan Reynolds—in complete awe.

One fan expressed how they think every time she walks into the paddock, it’ll be like the Met Gala.

Others wrote how they would be at races just because Lively would be there too.

Another fan made a callback to her role as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl and how the paddock will witness the character in person.
