Formula 1 is a global sport. Every F1 fan on this planet sees the drivers, past or present, as heroes for putting their lives on the line for our entertainment and the pure passion and joy for competition and racing. Hence, it’s only fair that this beloved sport of ours gets immortalized by the hands of Hollywood.

We’ve seen Formula 1 movies in the past. With this, the rivalry between Niki Lauda and James Hunt in the movie ‘Rush’ comes to mind. So does 1966’s classic ‘Grand Prix’. However, if we are to believe F1’s CEO Stefano Domenicali, the next Brad Pitt F1 project is going to be the biggest F1 blockbuster to date.

Talking to Motorsport.com, Domenicali was in the mood to hype this project up. He said, “I think it’s serious stuff.”

He went on, “You will see a lot of things will happen next year on the preparation, and it’s exciting because all the teams will be involved, the drivers, everyone. So it’s fantastic.”.

He also spilled the beans on the logistics of it all. “We are already planning all the activity and the activation that needs to be done in a real race weekend, we’re going to start in the second half of the season for the production.”

From the looks of it, this new Hollywood project has the potential of catapulting the sport to even greater heights in terms of viewership and fandom. However, to help it achieve this, the project has onboarded a very special personality who will ensure its success.

Lewis Hamilton to become a producer for the new F1 movie project starring Brad Pitt

Lewis Hamilton embodies everything we love about the sport. The grit, the talent, the speed, the flamboyance, you name it! Hence, it was a no-brainer to involve one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers ever to guide this ambitious project into the biggest F1 movie we will ever see.

Domenicali revealed Hamilton‘s role in it all, “Lewis will be very important because he loves this new project, and he will keep the right authenticity to the movie that will be produced.”

He then went on to summarize the credibility of the whole project. “I guarantee to you that the producer is the best in Hollywood, the director is one of the best in Hollywood, and the main actor, Brad Pitt, doesn’t need to have any kind of introduction.”
