Lewis Hamilton is infamous for not following anybody on Instagram. The only accounts he follows are Mission 44, his dog Roscoe’s account, and Plus 44 World. That is despite the fact that he has more than 31 million followers of his own. However, he once started following Brazilian influencer and YouTube personality, Fred. It was perhaps a prank of some sort as the move created much hype, but soon Lewis unfollowed him.

Fred shot to fame after joining the popular YouTube channel Desimpedidos as a presenter. The channel, created in 2013 by former soccer player Kaka, made entertaining content based on soccer. Fred joined the channel as one of their presenters left. Since then, he has earned quite a lot of fame for himself, amassing more than 10 million followers on Instagram. That was not it, though. Fred is currently one of the contestants on Big Boss Brazil 23. That is where he told the story of Hamilton following him, only to unfollow moments later. That was while Fred was live with his followers and some of them told him about it.

Talking with fellow contestants on the show, as quoted by gshow.globo.com, he revealed, “Hamilton followed me. Once they warned me on a live: ‘Bro, Hamilton follows you’. I looked there and he followed me. But it took a while and he stopped following.”

The season did not turn out to be any good either for him or for the team. For the first time in his entire F1 career, he went a full season without a race win. The 7-time champion will definitely look forward to changing that in the upcoming season that will start next month.
