Formula 1 racers are set to undergo a huge change in the teams from next season. The transfer madness was caused when Sebastian Vettel was informed about his termination of the contract by the Ferrari team. This resulted in the disruption in the driver’s market. The change of gear resulted in the change in the entire scenario. McLaren too decided to have a changed lineup.
Ferrari is all set to replace Vettel with Carlos Sainz. Therefore McLaren has signed Daniel Ricciardo to race for them. Roping in Ricciardo, McLaren strengthened their lineup. Partnering with Lando Norris, McLaren is hopeful of deducing some real results.
The major team swapping of the racers lead to a major question. Whether the teams will be releasing the racers early to adjust to their destination teams or not. However, McLaren CEO Zak Brown completely swept away the thought.

“We’re happy with our driver line-up this year,” said Brown.
“We’re happy with everyone else’s driver line-up this year.

In terms of performance, McLaren is enjoying a smooth ride. Therefore, in no way the concept of early termination of the contract is considered by them. However, taking a dig at the destabilized situation, he joked about changing his thought to help out other teams.

“I think we have two drivers that are doing an excellent job, and some other teams which have disruption in their garage. So I think I want to continue the harmonious relationship we have going on right now. And I think if we were to consider changing that, it would maybe only be to the benefit of other teams that are maybe a little bit more destabilized in the garage.”
McLaren eyes for the top spot
McLaren finds itself comfortably seated in the 3rd position behind Mercedes and Red Bull. However, McLaren hopes to sit in the pole position and clinch the cup.

With the new regulations in coming in from 2022, finances will play a major part, when the budget cap is enforced next year. Therefore regulation of cashflow will see a balanced Formula 1 racing. The domination of a single team is all set to be removed and races are expected to be interesting with greater competition.
McLaren eyes for the 2022 session to compete on an equal footing as others and prove themselves worthy of the top spot.
