Owing to the team’s severe power issues, Sebastian Vettel significantly struggled with his Ferrari this season. Given Vettel’s glorious past, the Formula 1 community is eagerly waiting to see how this partnership fairs out for him.

The German had the worst season of his six-year-long Ferrari career. On the contrary, the newly rebranded team, earlier under the name Racing Point, had a great 2020 season. They finished P4 in the standings with 195 points, as opposed to P7 with 73 points in 2019.

For the Formula 1 community, it seemed like Vettel got the better deal, keeping in mind Ferrari’s decline and Racing Point’s improvement. However, Ralf Schumacher clarified that there are still some hurdles to come.

“This is a great team, they have always been survivors. But what is more crucial: There are still some deficits in the team. You can’t turn a cow into a tiger overnight. If you suddenly have a tiger in the box, you have to be able to tame it,” said Schumacher.

The Formula 1 community believes that the German is finally with a team that believes in him. Schumacher agreed with the same and said, “I’m happy that he finally has a team that stands behind him again.”

Aston Martin, equipped with the experience of the former world champion and Mercedes power unit, is looking to climb the Championship table all the way to the top. Hopefully, they will provide Vettel with a car that will ensure multiple podiums for both of them.
