Carlos Sainz will sport a red suit next season as he joins Ferrari alongside Charles Leclerc. In 2020, Ferrari has had a difficult season because of their power-unit issues. However, Charles Leclerc still displayed moments of brilliance throughout the season.
Meanwhile, McLaren claimed the P3 position on constructors’ championship. As the last act of their partnership, Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz took over SkySports. Lando asked Sainz whether he is scared about his new teammate, Charles Leclerc.

He said, “Yeah mate.” He then shows his hands trembling with the thought of going against the quick Monegasque. “Another young gun that I will have to deal with,” added the Spaniard.

Lando answers the same question about Ricciardo
McLaren will host Daniel Ricciardo next season as Sainz moves on. After Sainz answered the question, he asked Lando the same question. “How are you going to control the honey badger?” he asked.
Lando replied, “I’ll over-feed him. Then he goes overweight.” Carlos Sainz further probed on whether the two get along well. “I’ve noticed a change lately with Daniel. You know he used to be all funny and jokey. Now he’s trying to be all serious,” Lando Norris pointed out.

Carlos Sainz has to battle every weekend with Charles Leclerc, which will not be easy. Leclerc graduated from the Ferrari Driver Academy. The 2020 season proved very difficult for both the Ferrari drivers.
Ferrari went from being one of the top teams to scraping the midfield this season. Charles Leclerc showed some skill and claimed 98 points whereas, Vettel could only manage 33 points this season.

Sebastian Vettel was really impressed by Leclerc’s performance this season. He even pointed out that Leclerc’s driving ability is one of a kind. “I think Leclerc is the greatest talent I’ve come across in the last 15 years,” he said.
The world champion was overshadowed by Leclerc this season. The Monegasque is familiar with the Ferrari car and the team. Therefore, Sainz will have to work really hard to compete with Leclerc next season.
