After finishing the last preseason testing in 2024 in Bahrain at Sakhir International Circuit, the 29-year-old shared his thoughts and insights, reflecting on the challenges and the overall performance during the testing sessions. Carlos Sainz conveyed to Soymotors.com, “Yes, last year, in the race, we suffered. We suffered because we were going backwards, we were downgrading and we had to go slower than the others to avoid downgrading and, even going slowly, you ate the wheels; and eating your wheels, they overtook you and defended you. Last year was challenging”.

Although he spoke less about the past preseasons, the Spanish man demonstrates composure and the ability to appreciate the present. Despite the setback of being replaced by a team that appeared certain of his renewal, he faces the unexpected with resilience. Approaching 30, he has encountered more challenging circumstances. The prospect of a one-year deal or one plus one, like Hamilton had with Mercedes, could be an unappealing offer. Carlos Sainz expressed to F1, “Wherever I go next, I will look for stability and an interesting project to become a champion in the future,” he added. “I believe in stability. I’m a big believer in consistency”

Apart from this, the 29-year-old has many other options, with eight other teams having accessible seats in 2025. All eight are possible landing spots for the Spaniard.
