F1 2020 season is on a halt due to the coronavirus. Nine races have just been dropped/delayed. The Australian GP was dropped only hours before Friday’s practice session. It was when Mclaren pulled back from taking an interest in the occasion. Presently following multi-month of no activity, drivers and groups are enjoying different exercises. These exercises are Sim racing, Virtual meetings or aiding in planning clinical gadgets for fighting COVID19. Carlos Sainz is taking on the web exercises from his engineer about the functions of a Formula 1 vehicle while Formula 1 is waiting.

The Spanish racer says he needs to become familiar with the internal functions of his F1 vehicle. It is an ideal way to spend time while the season is waiting. He has just settled on the ideal educator. His own McLaren race engineer.

Carlos Sainz says: “I had an idea recently that I would like to take an online engineering class with my engineer Tom Stallard. I would like to know a bit better how some parts of a Formula 1 car work a bit more specifically, a bit more technically.”

“I don’t know how it would work online but I think it would work well. At least it will keep me busy. I will use it as something to improve my understanding of a Formula 1 car.”

Carlos Sainz is learning Economics
