Carlos Sainz Makes His Intentions Clear to Ferrari F1 Over Possible Future

Ferrari F1 just launched the 2022 livery. According to fans, it is quite possibly the most beautiful livery that any team has put out in the past few years. During the launch, Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz stated that he has high hopes of being a part of the Italian team in the future.

Despite putting up the best season of his career till now last year, the Spanish driver is yet to sign a contract for 2023. But he mentioned both he and the team are confident that they can reach an agreement soon.

We are happy with the situation: Carlos Sainz

As reported by Crash.net, in 2021 Carlos surprised everyone with how fast he adapted to the new team. At the end of the season, he even finished ahead of his well-established teammate in the championship.

” It has been pretty clear, both Ferrari and myself. We are happy with the situation and want to keep working together in the future. We have put ourselves certain targets to have it as soon as possible, but at the moment nothing is done yet,” said Sainz.

Sainz continued by mentioning that he’s very much looking forward to the 2022 season. “I am more than ready for this season. Last year was a great year for me because I managed to learn how the team works on the inside to adapt to a new environment.

Now it’s time to take the team to a different level, take it to another step. And as drivers and the team together, we want more things and more success in 2022. So let’s go and get it,” said Carlos.

Many have predicted Ferrari to be the preseason favorites going into 2022. They made the biggest jump out of anyone last season when they finished P3 from 2020’s P6 in the championship.

The team has the resources and the workforce to compete with Mercedes and Red Bull at the front of the grid. Sainz would be hoping that they have a car that can fight for wins and championships in the 2022 season.
