Carlos Sainz Sr Reveals His Emotions & Expectations From Son’s Ferrari F1 Move

Ferrari reshuffled their drivers’ lineup for the 2021 season, electing to pair Carlos Sainz Jr with Charles Leclerc. It gives the Spaniard an opportunity to help the Italian giants’ in their quest for resurgence.

Sainz Jr had a particularly good season with McLaren in 2020, leading the team’s charge to finish third in the Constructors’ standings. He has a similar mission on his hands at Ferrari, teaming up with Leclerc to deliver the goods, come end of the season.

Sainz Jr’s father believes that his son’s partnership with the Monegasque driver would be a fruitful one. He also thinks that they are a good pairing to help Ferrari grow going forward.

Sainz Jr’s father himself is an experienced rally driver who has won accolades and accomplishments throughout his career. He also revealed that the 26-year-old has an immense motivation to deliver for Ferrari in 2021.

“He and Charles Leclerc are two young talents who are very fast, and intelligent that they can work well together , helping the redhead to grow. I am convinced that he will have a good relationship with his teammate,” concluded Sainz’s father on the subject.

The former McLaren driver has largely improved in the last two seasons

Following a difficult year with Renault in 2018, Sainz had to shore up his courage and talent. After a brief period of adaptation at McLaren, he slowly started producing consistency in his results, which got capped off by a podium in the 2019 Brazil GP.
