Lando Norris has made an incredible start to the season in his third year with McLaren. The Briton has already managed to bag two podiums and sits ahead of Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas in the Drivers’ championship standings. His development since he made his F1 debut has been incredible. So, it’s no surprise really that a lot of people see Norris as a potential future world champion. His former teammate Carlos Sainz is one among those people.

The signs are certainly there for all to see. However, Sainz is right in saying that the competition for the title amongst the next generation of F1 drivers is going to be really intense. Apart from Norris, there are the likes of Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and George Russell, to name a few. The young Briton would have to do quite well to beat these three to the crown.
