Charles Leclerc Arrives at Silverstone in Regal $73 Million Jet Hailed ‘Ferrari of the Skies’

Charles Leclerc has a history of missing flights while heading into race weekends. But this weekend he was on time and arrived in style with his flight with Vistajet.

Vistajet provides charted flights to their customers so that they get the best experience while traveling in the air. Leclerc took to his Instagram to inform his fans that he arrived at the British GP this weekend with Vistajet.

Interestingly, the airline has been a partner of the Scuderia Ferrari F1 team for the past four years. According to their official website, the airline ensures that the Ferrari personnel have a smooth ride during the races. It costs around $73 million and is dubbed the “Ferrari of the Skies” and can fly 7,700 nautical miles at a time.
But it is an expense to travel with the airline charging between $12,000 and $20,000 per hour. The Bombardier Global 7500 flies at 51,000 ft altitude and has a max speed of  0.925 Mach. At a time, it can take 14 passengers and has 8 beds with a cabin height of 6ft 2inch.

Leclerc has a history of missing his scheduled flights. He has often revealed that he arrived at certain races a bit late because of the missed flight.

It was just last race weekend when the Monegasque driver missed his flight to Montreal and arrived at the track a bit later. The same happened to him during the 2021 US Grand Prix in Austin. But there were some problems with his documents so he had to take a different flight to New York.

But it is nice that he arrived at Silverstone with Vistajet on time and can now fully focus on re-igniting his title bid.

“Obviously we’re not in the best situation with the last few races. We are always pushing to the limit, at the end, that’s what we need to do if we want to win this championship.”

“So on that, I’m pretty sure that the team will push 100%, I will push 100% and everybody is extremely motivated to have… cleaner races and get the rhythm and get back the points that we’ve lost in the last three races,” said Leclerc.

It would be interesting to see if the fast-paced nature of the Silverstone track suits Leclerc and Ferrari. These are critical races for his championship bid in the 2022 season.
