The 2021 Turkish Grand Prix is underway and Friday saw the cars get back on the track for the first time after the eventful race at Sochi. Friday’s first FP1 session saw Hamilton finish ahead of Verstappen who managed a P2. However, Verstappen wouldn’t be worrying much about it, because Hamilton is set to get a 10-place grid penalty for Sunday’s race because he’ll be taking a new engine for this week. Coming a close P3 just behind Verstappen’s new-look Red Bull was Charles Leclerc in his Ferrari. However, he became a talking point because of a very funny radio exchange that has F1 fans in splits.

This isn’t the first time Leclerc has been a subject of memes, and he takes it quite sportingly. He in fact wore a banana suit at one of his live streams during the lockdown as part of a challenge.

However, all the eyes will be on Hamilton and Verstappen this weekend, as they fight on for the world championship with only 7 seven races to go. Turkey can be a huge turning point in the championship fight because Hamilton won’t start at the front and that’s confirmed. Sunday will write the next chapter in this intense battle and we can’t wait for it
