For a kid, the most important people around them are their parents. In the case of an aspiring racer, when they are starting off their karting career, they look to them for support. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc is not so different, as he gives credit to his late father, Hervé Leclerc, for helping him become a Formula One driver.
Leclerc’s father was also part of the racing world and hence encouraged his son to become an F1 driver. Charles looked back and thanked his father for pushing him to achieve his dream.

Parents play a vital role in the early stages of their child’s growth. And for parents whose child wants to be an F1 driver, there is an added sense of dedication to make that dream a reality. Leclerc is grateful for his dad, as he helped him become a driver in the pinnacle of motorsports.
As quoted from Ferrari’s blog, Leclerc said, “My father introduced me to motorsport so I don’t know if I would have become what I am if it weren’t for him.Even though I think maybe I would have ended up as a racing driver anyway, since it’s in my DNA. It’s what I love doing the most. But I don’t think I would have made it to Formula One without him.”
