Over time, Charles Leclerc and Ferrari have developed a great work relationship. The driver that was elevated to his dream team is currently competing for the team’s championship. In fact, this year the Monegasque would have brought the Maranello family a trophy if fortune had been a little more kind. However, the season now was done and dusted, and the Ferrari driver throws some light on his establishment within the team.

Since joining the Maranello team at the start of the 2019 Formula One season, Charles Leclerc has made his mark in Ferrari. Leclerc was able to match and frequently outperform four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel in their debut season together. And now he will don the red outfit for the fifth time straight. The attitude and persona of Leclerc also seem like a good fit for Ferrari. He has been with the squad long enough to be demanding, but he rarely makes a ruckus in public.

This, in his own opinion, is an essential component of the way he approaches teamwork management. Speaking with Motorsport NextgenAuto Leclerc said, “I’m a very authentic person, so I don’t force anything,” And I think with the Italian community and with Ferrari, it’s going very well. I’m very honest and as tough as I have to be in the team. But I’m not the kind of person who’s going to come and vent in public. I don’t think that’s particularly helpful. Having grew up at Ferrari, I know that’s the right way to do things.”

Although Leclerc has established himself as the best driver over the years and demonstrated his lightning-quick speed last season, he is yet to claim a championship. Leclerc made some bold claims regarding the championship for the following year while he was found training.

Prior to the French Grand Prix, the Monegasque had a respectable points advantage over Max Verstappen. But after that pivotal moment, the team struggled with a number of problems, including driver error, strategic blunders, and reliability issues. All of these factors made it challenging for the Prancing Horse, and in the end, the Red Bull driver won the title by nearly 150 points. But this year, there are speculations that the team will be in good shape and ready to compete for the championship.

Leclerc claimed in a video from his preseason training camp in the Dolomites that he is ready to win the world championship. He said, “There are some days when I am not particularly happy to go training. But it’s life, it’s part of the game. In the end, winning is what motivates me and in 2022, we didn’t make it but I’m planning to do it this year. So, we need to be as prepared as possible and training is part of it. You need to be fit inside of the car and we are giving the best just to be the best driver out there on the track.”
