The former McLaren driver bagged four podiums and had 164.5 points to his name; finishing fifth in the drivers’ championship. Leclerc was able to achieve two pole positions, and one podium, finishing the season in seventh place with 159 points.

Where did Ferrari finish in the constructors’ standings?

The 2020 season was a horrible year for the Maranello-based team, as they could only bag 131 points, resulting in them finishing sixth in the teams’ standings.

In 2021, both drivers pushed themselves to the limit in order to redeem the Italian team.

As the season ended, Ferrari had 323.5 points courtesy of Sainz and Leclerc. This saw them finish the season in third place. With the 2022 season just a few months away, the Italian team is pleased with the progress made this season and will be aiming to fight for podiums and wins next year.
