Leclerc released his first single in April 2023 and called it AUS23 (1:1). The single saw gained instant popularity as it climbed to #6 on iTunes charts and has 4.2 million plays on Spotify. Since then, he has produced a song in collaboration and released two more singles. In fact, Leclerc is now getting a professional opinion from one of the best pianists in the world and looks set to explore a parallel career path.

Leclerc had always had an inclination towards music, but could never pay attention to it because of his commitment to music. However, the four-month-long COVID-19 break came as a blessing in disguise, which is when he took classes and sharpened his skills. Soon, it became an obsession for the Monegasque, and he would find time in between races to play music as a form of escapism.

The three singles and the collaboration with French piano icon Sofiane Pamart put Leclerc at the peak of his music career while he still races most weeks a year. In fact, the collaborative song with Pamart was the background score of Leclerc’s Ferrari contract announcement.

Leclerc has often revealed that Brazilian legend Ayrton Senna has inspired him the most in the world of motorsport. However, when asked who inspires him in the world of music, he revealed, “I think everything by Hans Zimmer is good. Otherwise, I like Coldplay.” 

The two artists are at the top of the world and truly an inspiration for many. However, being inspired by an artist and being motivated enough to produce your own is completely different ball game. So how does Leclerc do it?

Leclerc shared his creative process in his musical pursuits and said, “I play as soon as I get home in Monte Carlo. Three days ago I got on the piano and I came out with something I liked. My songs are always born like this. I know how to read music, but I am really slow, so I never do it.”

However, Leclerc was quick to clarify, “This published music does not represent the races I ran. Although unfortunately, the start of the season that I had, it could.”
