The Red Bull investigation’s dark cloud has moved past Formula 1’s streets as Christian Horner was cleared of all accusations. The man who has denied all claims of inappropriate behavior will continue to lead the most dominant team on the track. Although things look better for the team principal, some people don’t want him to take a breather.

Recently, many alleged conversations of Christian Horner were reportedly leaked online. The leakers shared private messages of the team principal with several people, which is a serious breach of his privacy. After the leaked messages were circulated, Italian journalist Leo Turrini came forth to discuss his views.

Just when Christian Horner thought they could take a sigh of relief, things went south real fast when their personal information was leaked. Leo Turrini took to QN Motori to share his thoughts on the beginning of the season and the Horner investigation. Turrini said, “I feel sincere repugnance for those who have disclosed (assuming they are true, for goodness sake) conversations that belong to the private sphere of human beings who have families, children, relatives, friends.”

Fed up with the way public figures in Formula 1 are treated, he exclaimed, “This is crap all the time.” Explaining that the issue between the employee and Horner involved no illegal activities he said, “On the merits, since so far there is no news of criminal complaints, it must be the FIA and Domenicali’s F1, as well as of course Red Bull, who determine whether there are ethical reasons to impose solutions of a certain type. And here the matter becomes very slippery because from the outside one has the impression of being witnesses of a power conflict.”

Although Horner is off the hook from the accusations, it looks like someone is not happy about the outcome. That being said, leaking someone’s private information is a crime and if found, the leaker will face some serious charges. However, Leo Turrini’s focus was not only on the leaks but also on how well the drivers did during the qualifying.

The Bahrain Grand Prix Qualifying, through the eyes of Leo Turrini

The Italian journalist felt like the qualifying went more or less like he expected. He also spoke about how if Charles Leclerc continued the momentum he had in Q2, he could have started ahead of Max Verstappen at the Bahrain GP. Turrini moved his attention to George Russell and his strong words after Q3. Russell said that the Dutch world champion has about 20 seconds to play around with compared to the rest. That makes F1 a game for whoever is in second place.
