Things don’t look great for Red Bull with their team boss stuck in the middle of controversy. He has been accused of inappropriate behavior with a female staff in the team and Red Bull has hired a barrister to conduct an investigation. On the account that Horner is found guilty, he will be taken off his position in Red Bull.

While the issue is being investigated, everyone is waiting for the outcome. The accusations are quite strong and it could also mean the end of the team boss’ career. Although Horner has claimed to be innocent, only time will tell what went down. But while the judgment is made, ex-Ferrari insider Antonio Ghini spoke with Franco Nugnes from Motorsport.com to discuss the matter.

Franco Nugnes and Antonio Ghini sat down to have a virtual interview discussing the controversy Christian Horner has been involved with. During the interview, Nugnes and Ghini discussed Horner and said, “What is certain is that the fact that Christian Horner, who is really the reference for Red Bull regarding the general discipline of the team – even though they are an extraordinarily solid team put in this condition, he no longer seems like the man he was at the time of the management of the original Red Bull.”

Ghini mentions that there is a change in Horner and he is not the same as he was during the original launch of Red Bull. The two discuss how Red Bull was always a secure team, and with his rumor, how Horner’s position in the team is now wavering.

Eddie Jordan shared some advice for Horner, stating that he should not attend the Red Bull car launch until things are resolved. Things look difficult for Horner and his family, but his wife strongly believes that he has done nothing wrong. The team has decided not to discuss this matter further until the verdict is out.

How long can the case take to resolve?

After the news of Horner’s inappropriate behavior broke out, the parent company initiated the investigation through an external barrister on the same day the allegations were made public. Horner was scheduled for a lengthy interrogation session on February 9th in central London, and after the investigation, he had his first interview since the accusation.

Red Bull Racing and Horner swiftly denied the allegations, but the parent company took the matter seriously and initiated an investigation. Craig Slater recently spoke about the Horner incident on Sky Sports F1. There he mentioned that Red Bull is set to hold a detailed investigation which might take time.

The prediction is that the case will not be resolved before the RB20 car launch and Slater further predicts that it might even go on until the season starts. Although things don’t look that good for Red Bull, everyone hopes that the allegations are taken off as the incident has been affecting the expected performance of the team.
