In Daniel Ricciardo‘s case, you can take Formula 1 out of the man, but you can’t take the man out of Formula 1! The Honey Badger was dealt with a severe blow last season when McLaren decided to ditch the Australian for Oscar Piastri. But as it turns out, that hasn’t dampened his spirits one bit. Ricciardo’s the kind of person who through his charming personality and mile-long smile, can brighten the gloomiest of days. And that’s exactly what he did in Montreal for a buddy, Pierre Gasly.

The Canadian Grand Prix is now being billed as a banger. The heavens seem to have opened in North America as both FP2 and FP3 were hit by rain. The weather may be overcast, but Ricciardo is here to brighten our days.

In a recent video posted by the official Instagram account of Formula 1, Gasly was seen struggling for traction in treacherous conditions. However, he was on two wheels! Adorning his distinct helmet, the Frenchman wrestled his scooter as he came to the trackside. But just as this was unfolding, a wild Honey Badger appeared.

Ricciardo is still ever-present in the F1 paddock thanks to his reserve driver-cum-marketer role at Red Bull. Luckily or unluckily for Gasly, though, he was present at the exact moment of his great struggle. Zooming past in his car, he stopped, looked at Gasly and uttered those famous words, “PIERRE GAAAASLYYYYYY” 

It sure did cheer up Formula 1 fan. As soon as the video went viral, fans rushed to the comments section of the video to leave their reactions. One fan even commented, “Daniel is literally everywhere, he is a shadow made person.”
