The team would not only get an experienced driver but also a seven-time race winner and will also use a Mercedes power unit. These factors make the orange team a strong contender for the constructor’s championship in 2021.

Mclaren mean business in the new season

Sainz and Norris gave each other room to breathe as they zipped around the track during two seasons. They did not get in each other’s way but thrived.

McLaren chief Zak Brown, in an interview, said, “I think we are going to have to manage them on track. Carlos and Lando gave each other a lot of room when they raced, but I think Daniel and Lando will be closer wheel-to-wheel.”

“They are both extremely fast and Daniel is very aggressive, and I think they will be tough to each other on track.

“So we might need to make sure that everyone races hard but also races clean.

“I do think we have the most exciting driver pairing both on the track and off it. They both have an energy and ambition that has made McLaren a youthful and energetic racing team,” Brown added.

Brown expects the two drivers to be more serious

Just not Mclaren fans, but the entire F1 fan base cannot wait to see these two dynamic drivers because of their offscreen antics. On that, Brown said, “Everyone is expecting them to be a goofy odd couple but I am expecting more seriousness.”

The Bahrain Grand Prix, which will kick-start the 2021 season, has fans eagerly waiting to see the Mclaren boys battle it out on the F1 grid.
