The 2020 Formula 1 season has been a rollercoaster ride. We lost a few regular tracks because of COVID-19 and saw some new tracks this season. We saw two new race winners and a lot of drivers bid farewell to their teams as they moved to a different team.
Meanwhile, Formula 1 had taken some time out and asked the drivers about a few of their predictions for the season. Coming towards the end of the season, the drivers read out their predictions.
One common denominator in these predictions was Lewis winning the 2020 Drivers’ Championship. Daniel Ricciardo had the same prediction. However, Ricciardo also had a peculiar prediction that did not really come true.

Looking back at his prediction, Daniel Ricciardo said, “This one didn’t happen, but I really thought it would. Vettel goes to Red Bull. Yeah, I thought it was a nice little long shot then. He did leave in the end, but not to Red Bull.”
Who moves to Red Bull?
Sebastian Vettel won his 4 championships with Red Bull before moving to Ferrari. It’s hard to understand how Daniel predicted a Sebastian Vettel move. Maybe it has something to do with why he moved from Red Bull to Renault.
