Daniel Ricciardo is known for his radio silence on Twitter. However, something remarkable happened. The Australian tweeted about how great his teammate was, praising his impressive skills. Something fishy was brewing over at McLaren.

As it turns out, Daniel lost a table tennis match to Lando Norris. The most probable situation being Ricciardo lost a bet to Norris; the high praise being the obvious giveaway. Ricciardo tweeted, “he’s taught me so much this year, especially in high-speed corners. Impressive.” Further, he added, “He’s got some large cojones. Something I don’t have.”

Moments after breaking the internet, Norris‘ cheeky smile took over Ricciardo’s Twitter. Did Lando praise himself or did he look over his teammate’s shoulders devilishly? We’ll never know. Nonetheless, Norris contorted a genius forfeit for Daniel.

Is Daniel Ricciardo finally bonding with his teammate?

Daniel Ricciardo is easily the most outgoing driver on the grid. However, it seemed like Lando Norris took some time to warm up to his new teammate. While there wasn’t any bad blood between the two, fans had initially hoped for a new bromance at the beginning of the season- one they didn’t immediately get.

Norris and Ricciardo have a large generation gap between them and extremely different interests. Additionally, Norris was almost unimpressed with Ricciardo’s initial struggles at McLaren. Unlike his relationship with Carlos Sainz, Norris had a formal and distant approach to Ricciardo.

Norris had said“I tell him what I feel, he has all my data, he can see everything I do, I describe things very well in the debriefings and what I do. I’m not going to lie, but at the end of the day it’s not up to me.”

Now, as the laughs get louder at the McLaren garage, fans are relieved to see the two drivers get along. In a recent Sky Sports interview, the uneasiness between the two had obviously thawed; laughter boomed in the studio as the teammates teased each other. The two had something in common all along: the hunger for victory.
