McLaren F1 are going to be sporting one of the most entertaining driver lineups on the grid for the 2021 F1 season. Sure, fans will be sad that they won’t get to see the bromance between Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris anymore. But by getting the signature of Daniel Ricciardo, the Woking-based outfit have found the perfect replacement.
The Australian brings to the team an incredible amount of experience with 188 F1 starts under his belt. Moreover, the man from down under has quite a lot of experience when it comes to putting his car on the podium, having won seven races and 31 podiums in his career.
Additionally, his vibe matches that of the team, and it’s little doubt why fans are so excited to see his relationship with Norris.

With McLaren having already confirmed their launch date for their new car, the next process is to integrate Ricciardo into the team with the customary seat fit.
That task has now been successfully accomplished according to the team’s social media account.

The team shared an image of a serious-looking Daniel in the cockpit of the MCL35M. Ricciardo was in his full racing suit and sported a papaya colored McLaren face mask.
With the seat fit completed, fans will want to see Ricciardo hit the track in Bahrain and show his mettle.
With the number of testing days reduced to three, he wouldn’t get the number of laps he would have ideally wanted. But expect a man of his talent and experience to adjust to his new team and car soon and hit the ground running in time for the first race on March 28.
Can Daniel Ricciardo help McLaren continue their upward trajectory?

The Woking-based outfit had fallen from grace after the 2014 season. Up until 2019, the team had failed to cross the 100 point mark. However, over the last two years, they have grown at a rapid pace and are gradually rising back to their former glory.
Although it doesn’t mean they will compete for the title this year, the team would want to continue on their path to progress. Ricciardo is the best possible driver they could rope in. With his expertise, McLaren would want to take the next step and perhaps challenge Red Bull, more often than not, for a place on the podium.
