Daniel Ricciardo must come across plenty of fans on a daily basis. Especially in America now, Ricciardo and Formula 1 holistically have amassed a massive fanbase. So it is no surprise to see fans coming out in herds to meet their favorite stars. However, there is one fan on the Circuit of The Americas who is meeting the drivers to apologize to them. Surely an odd reason to meet the drivers.

Moreover, why would a fan need to apologize to them? Well, he would if the particular fan has been mimicking the drivers and has become an internet sensation because of it. The fan being Conor Moore, the Irish impressionist.
Moore met Ricciardo before an interview at COTA and the conversation was as hilarious as Moore’s impressions. After Moore greeted Ricciardo with, “Daniel, what’s up man?” Ricciardo instantly replied, “You’re the funny c*nt” which cracked everyone listening.

Then the conversation went like this:

CM: Sorry, I’m sorry.
DR: Don’t be sorry, it’s good.
CM: No, I’ve just apologized to everyone I’ve seen so far.

DR: Don’t apologize, it’s awesome.
CM: Except (Will) Buxton and you (Ricciardo).
The two said farewell and wished luck to each other as Moore started walking away. However, Ricciardo had one last thought he wanted to communicate.

CM: I’ll just do it on my phone later on. Don’t worry about it. I won’t do it to your face.

Although extremely wholesome and hilarious, when Moore shared this exchange on his social media, there was a unanimous doubt.
Fans wonder how Moore resisted this temptation during his meeting with Daniel Ricciardo
Moore puts out impressions regularly, usually after a race weekend, and his impressions are spot on. The impressions have also made their way to the paddock, with drivers reacting to the videos. So when Moore got the opportunity to meet a driver in person, the fans had only one question. How tempted was the impressionist to bust out the McLaren man’s impression during the exchange?
