Daniel Ricciardo Rates the Overtake on Kimi Raikkonen His Ballsiest Overtake in F1

Daniel Ricciardo reveals his most daring overtake of Formula 1 in a recent interview. The Australian driver feels that his move on Kimi Raikkonen in the 2015 Monaco GP is his most endearing move.

Danny was talking in a Sky Sports F1 Vodcast yesterday about his current life at Renault F1, partnering with Esteban Ocon and the future in F1. He was joined by former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick.

Michael Carrick is an English football coach and former player. He is right now filling in as a first-team coach at Manchester United. He is one of the most enlivened English footballers ever. And is most popular for his 12-year at Manchester United, the team he also captained for a few years.

When asked about his most memorable overtake in formula 1 Danny replied, “The one that comes to mind is the overtake in Monaco on Kimi in 2015”.

Daniel Ricciardo had made a pit stop under the safety car, and was on fresh tires. He made a daring move on the Finn and was able to pass Kimi Räikkönen under controversial circumstances.

Daniel Ricciardo set the fastest lap in the race

During the last few laps of the race, Ricciardo’s teammate Kvyat then let him past allowing him to attempt a move on third-place Hamilton. When Ricciardo couldn’t surpass, he gave the fourth spot back to Kvyat. However, he managed to set the quickest lap of the race.

Additionally, Nico Rosberg took his third continuous win at Monaco, the second win of the season, and the tenth of his career. Sebastian Vettel finished in second place followed by Lewis Hamilton in P3. Hamilton was leading for the greater part of the race, yet moved from first into third spot following a “pit stop misjudgment” during a late safety car period.

The restored McLaren-Honda association scored its first point since Honda’s return. Furthermore, Rosberg was able to diminish his gap in the World Drivers’ Championship to ten points.
