F1 racing is a unique sport in itself, where the best action happens when drivers fight wheel-to-wheel for supremacy and glory. But of late, that has been severely reduced with a lot of quality gaps between the teams.
Of course, Mercedes’ dominance has seen them rocket to the front of the grid, with Red Bull also in a comfortable second. Only now has the midfield battle intensified in recent times, with Racing Point and McLaren in the mix with Renault.

Speaking in a podcast, Ricciardo is quoted as saying, “Don’t get me wrong, we all think that! I guess like one thing is there’s an attraction of always getting to the best teams knowing that there is a team better than another. That’s kind of a challenge in itself.”
During his time at Red Bull, Ricciardo was right in the thick of things fighting the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas upfront. But, there still exists a huge competitive gap between the top teams and the midfield battlers.
