F1 is a weird circus; the racers are unique, and every single one of them has a different story. On that note, it is only befitting that each racer will have a distinctive celebration style. Daniel Ricciardo was famous for his ‘shoey’ celebration. However, amidst all the excitement, he forgot to indulge in the same on the podium today.
Daniel Ricciardo got his first podium in this season; however, it felt like he had been doing this every weekend. The Aussie grabbed the spot left open when Bottas was forced to exit and held on tight.
The podium witnessed a black and yellow suit for the first time in many moons, and although the scenes were colorful, everyone was dying for the shoey.

“Mate, this is really bad, I forgot all about it. I literally forgot about it. As soon as they have done the champaign, Max was already spraying me and for the first time ever, they chilled the bottles. So no way the champaign was lukewarm. It was freezing.
“Well, maybe because it is so cold outside. So I was shocked with the cold and I didn’t even…Well, I am actually sad now,“ replied Daniel Ricciardo.

Like the first podium for Daniel Ricciardo
Daniel Ricciardo is certainly not the only one on the grid who has the habit of scratching an itch following every win; however, his itch is assuredly one of the most quirky ones across the paddock. Therefore, to have him on the podium and not do the shoey was a bummer for many fans.
The podium, this afternoon, overwhelmed Daniel and ambushed him with a series of feelings that he’s not felt for years. Although it was long overdue, he did not expect Nurburgring to be the site of his coronation.

“It is obviously with the new team. To see the joy on their faces its been a long time and I’m sure it is the first time for a lot of people in Renault to see a podium. Lot of mixed feelings so caught up in it,” exclaimed the Aussie.
Daniel Ricciardo will almost always risk it all to get the podium for his team. That is what he did tonight. The jubilant Renault crew exclaiming at the checkered line was a testament to the same.
