Talking about this, the 32-year-old has conveyed, “I think we are in a good position, but there is always something to work on and improve on. We will give the team some data to work with and some areas of work to focus on. And I will do the same with my driving style. Overall, it was a flawless three-day for the team, a really fantastic start to the season. Thanks to everyone at the factory for working hard over the winter to put us in this position.

It was nice to do some laps in the wet, we also needed to learn on this side. Now we need to give feedback to the team and try to make the most of this positive start. In any case, Red Bull and Mercedes have not yet proved anything, now we can understand little of the balance of power. I think I already know our strong points, so as to work on the weak ones from the point of view of driving and set-up.” continued the former Red Bull man.

Daniel Ricciardo to perform better this season for McLaren?

Daniel seemed confident about his driving style as well. His struggle at McLaren last year isn’t new. It’s a known fact that the Honeybadger has struggled to drive the initially. This caused a dip in his performance that was visible throughout the season. Nevertheless, the Aussie has been working on his driving style lately.

On the other hand, McLaren as a team seemed all up to take the fight to Ferrari. The Woking-based team has somehow failed to finish at P3 last season and lost the fight by 48.5 points. However, as things look now, they can even take their fight to the top teams like Red Bull and Mercedes. It’ll be interesting if McLaren can overtake Ferrari to take the third spot and eventually knock Red Bull or Mercedes’s door. Only time will tell.
