His job entailed looking at onboard videos and giving the drivers advice to improve. On one occasion at the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, he advised Vettel to take a little more kerb in the corner. Suffice to say, Vettel did that and it made a huge difference in his performance.

Kvyat talks about Sebastian Vettel and his Attention to Detail

Speaking about Vettel’s work ethic, he said, “A very hard worker, I learned to admire his work ethic. He’s great, a very interesting person as well, works very hard, very dedicated and loves the sport. I picked up a few things from him.”

The Russian also revealed that he knew about his 2019 plans well in advance. However, he also acknowledged that everything in his career developed rapidly. So, he felt that it was nice to step away from F1 for a bit and look at it through fresh eyes. He even confessed that at one point, he ‘fell out of love with Formula One’.
